Below, we look at the 2022 Open Championship odds entering Sunday’s final round of the 150th tournament, being played for the 30th time on the Old Course  at St. Andrews. Pre-tournament favorite Rory McIlroy (+900 before the opening round) is tied with Viktor Hovland (+5000 to start), at 16-under 200. Both golfers shot 6-under 66 Saturday to open a 4-shot lead entering the final round at the Old Course, which plays 7,313 yards as a par 72. McIlroy is the No. 1 player in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings while Hovland is 12th.

Defending champion Collin Morikawa, who won last year at 15-under 265 at Royal St. Georges, missed the cut after rounds of 73-72.

The 33-year-old pro will try for his 5th major title and his first in 8 years. McIlroy has 21 wins on the PGA Tour, including 2 this season and 7 top-10 finishes. He and Hovland start Sunday’s final round with 4-stroke lead after rounds of 66-68-66. His Saturday round included an eagle on the 10th when he holed out from a fairway bunker.

Viktor Hovland (+200)

The 24-year-old pro from Norway is in position to challenge for his 1st major title. The 3-time tour winner, including 1 this year, carded 4 consecutive birdies on the front 9 to highlight his 3rd-round, bogey-free 66 to go with a 68-66 start. He and McIlroy are at 16-under 2000.

Before the final group tees off at 9:50 a.m. ET, here are 3 players to watch as they try to chase down the leader.

Cameron Smith (+1000): The 2nd-round leader is 4 back at 12-under after rounds of 67-64-73. The 7th-ranked player in Sagarin’s rankings opened at +3000.

Cameron Young (+2000): The PGA Tour rookie starts 4 shots back at 12-under 204 after rounds of 64-69-71. The 76th-ranked player opened at +10000.

Scottie Scheffler (+2000): The Masters champ will have to come back from 5 shots down after rounds of 68-68-69. The 3rd-ranked player opened at +1500.

2022 Open Championship – Props update

Xander Scahuffele (+180 to make top 10): The 6th-ranked golfer is tied for 24th place at 5-under after rounds of 69-70-72.
