2022 NFL draft: Twitter reacts to Vikings’ second in-division trade

The Vikings pave the way for another division rival to move up in the draft.

The Chicago Bears are officially the only NFC North team the Minnesota Vikings haven’t traded with—yet.

So much for division rivals steering clear of the negotiating table with one another. Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s door is obviously open to any and everyone, assuming they have a deal that he likes.

And like the Detroit Lions on day one, the Packers had one of those deals on day two.

The Vikings traded the No. 34 overall pick to the Packers for the No. 53 and 59 picks. A positive way of looking at the deal is the fact that they got their second-round pick back that was included in the trade with the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.

However, the negative point is them paving the way for two division rivals to land potential game-breakers at the receiver position—Jameson Williams to the Lions and Christian Watson to the Packers.

There are still some serious question marks for the Vikings at the cornerback position, and now, they’ve made things exponentially tougher on themselves by allowing two division rivals to add major receiving weapons to their offenses.

Here’s what people are saying about the trade on Twitter.
