At this point, the NFL draft needs of the Pittsburgh Steelers are really coming into focus. Thanks to a significant number of free-agency additions, the Steelers front office should have a better opportunity to pinpoint some impact rookies with the top three picks.
One of those remaining needs is a starting safety to pair up with Minkah Fitzpatrick. Signing Tyrann Mathieu remains a long shot and I’m not sure the team is willing to settle for more Terrell Edmunds.
This means Pittsburgh could end up using a first or second-round pick on a new safety and this is the draft to do it. Here are our safety rankings heading into the final weeks before the draft.
