LSU might not have the list of NFL draft talent they have in the past, the NFL is still going to show up in full strength for the LSU pro day on Wednesday. This includes Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert.

Here are the top prospects who will be working out on Wednesday:

  • Tyrion Davis-Price (RB)
  • Damone Clark (LB)
  • Derek Stingley (CB)
  • Austin Deculus (OL)
  • Ed Ingram (OL)
  • Chasen Hines (OL)
  • Neil Farrell (DT)

The name to watch here for the Steelers is Neil Farrell. He’s a big, athletic defensive tackle who would be an excellent piece in an excellent defense. Farrell is 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds and could really stiffen up the interior defense.

But maybe the guy the Steelers are really there to see won’t be in the draft at all. Free-agent safety Tyrann Mathieu is on campus and is taking it easy right now while he weighs his options. Pittsburgh needs a starting strong safety and perhaps Tomlin and Colbert will dedicate some time to courting Mathieu to sign with the Steelers.
