With 12 games in the books, the 3-9 Jets are in line for two of the first six picks of the 2022 NFL draft.
Per NFL.com, New York has its own first-round selection at No. 4 and Seattle’s at No. 6 after the Seahawks improved to 4-8 with a win over the 49ers. The Jets own Seattle’s first-rounder thanks to the Jamal Adams trade.
The Jets faltered at home against the Eagles over the weekend, as their defense could not get off the field and left Zach Wilson with almost no opportunity to build on a strong first-half performance. Wilson and New York’s offense were out of sync in the second half as a result, with Wilson firing an interception in the fourth quarter of a 33-18 loss.
It won’t be easy for the Jets to get back into the win column when the Saints come to MetLife Stadium on Sunday. New Orleans is banged up and will be without its leading wide receiver, but is fighting for a playoff spot and has a ton to play for in Week 14.
