2022 NFL draft: Philadelphia Eagles land Kyle Hamilton in Daniel Jeremiah’s final mock

We’re just 24 hours away from the start of the 2022 NFL draft and with the Jaguars set to officially be on the clock, one final mock draft has landed.

Former NFL scout and current NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah just released his final mock draft of the spring, with the Eagles landing two terrific and versatile defenders.

No. 15 Philadelphia Eagles(from MIA) Kyle Hamilton Notre Dame · S · Junior

Hamilton is my No. 5 player in the 2022 draft class. This would be an absolute steal for Howie Roseman and the Eagles.

Hamilton could arguably be the most ready-made star. He boasts Pro Bowl potential and all the tools to make an instant impact in a variety of ways. Despite his impressive skill set, the Notre Dame product could drop due to A) a lack of positional value as a safety and/or B) an underwhelming 4.59 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

No. 18 Philadelphia Eagles(from NO) Trent McDuffie Washington · CB · Junior

McDuffie is one of my favorite players in the draft class. He’s smart, tough, and instinctive. He’d fit in beautifully across from Darius Slay.

Jeremiah has two quarterbacks going in Round one, none in the top half of the draft, while four wide receivers were selected with the top 11 picks.

He had the Eagles landing Hamilton after Baltimore took the player Howie Roseman covets, Jordan Davis out of Georgia.

An instant impact player, Hamilton gives Jonathan Gannon the deep safety he covets, while McDuffie is a formidable cover guy opposite Darius Slay.
