Not every top prospect in the 2022 NFL draft should be at the top of the Jets’ big board.
Talent doesn’t always equal fit. The Jets, with so many pressing needs, must keep that in mind as they prepare for the first round of the draft, where premium talents will be available at positions that are not top priorities for the Jets. Joe Douglas is a proponent of the “best player available” strategy, but it’s safe to say he won’t use the fourth or 10th picks on players at certain positions of need, no matter how good the player.
With that in mind, here are a few elite prospects the Jets will likely pass on.
