The Los Angeles Dodgers head into the 2022 season as the favorites to win the World Series.

The Dodgers came up short in the postseason, as the Atlanta Braves ousted Los Angeles in six games in the NLCS. That caused the Dodgers to go on a free-agent spending spree, including 1B Freddie Freeman, formerly of the champion Braves.

Below, we look at the Los Angeles Dodgers MLB futures odds, including their projected 2022 win total and World Series odds at Tipico Sportsbook.

Odds: +450 (bet $100 to win $450)

Los Angeles is not only the favorite to win the National League pennant, but it is the overwhelming favorite to avenge last season’s postseason loss and hoist the World Series trophy.

In addition to adding Freeman, the team recently bolstered the bullpen by trading for veteran closer Craig Kimbrel from the Chicago White Sox to join Blake Treinen as a closing option.

At +450, Los Angeles has an implied probability of winning the World Series of 18.18% or 9/2 fractional odds.

The Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates have the longest odds at +30000.

Playing the DODGERS (+450) to win the World Series for a 9-to-2 payoff is a safe play, as this team has a lineup so ridiculous that OF Cody Bellinger is expected to slot in sixth or seventh in the lineup. The 2019 NL MVP struggled mightily last season, but the 26-year-old has the tools to bounce back in a big way.

Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2022 playoff odds

Will Dodgers make the playoffs: Yes -847 | No +600

So many things would have to go wrong for the Dodgers not to make the postseason. If this star-studded lineup were to scuffle early on, or the pitching were to struggle, they’d likely just go out and spend more to rectify the situation. This team prints money and have become the Yankees of the West.

Despite the fact that it’s almost a certainty that the Dodgers are playing postseason baseball in October, you cannot lay more than eight times your potential return, especially since you wouldn’t cash that ticket for several months. Plus, the return would be so unsatisfying and minuscule.

PASS.

Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2022 win total

Over/Under: 98.5 (O: -110 | U: -110)

The Dodgers were good for 106 victories last season, finishing one game back of the San Francisco Giants in the National League West.

Los Angeles has brought in a ton of arms to bolster the starting staff. From top to bottom, there aren’t a lot of questions with the pitching, the lineup is chock full of former MVPs and All-Stars, and it’s hard to envision this team not hitting triple digits in victories again in 2022.

Take OVER 98.5 (-110).

Odds to win NL West Division

  • Los Angeles Dodgers -250 (bet $250 to win $100)
  • San Diego Padres +320 (bet $100 to win $320)
  • San Francisco Giants +500 (bet $100 to win $500)
  • Arizona Diamondbacks +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)
  • Colorado Rockies +10000 (bet $100 to win $10,000)

The NL West is expected to see three teams vying for the division title, while the Dodgers are the clear-cut favorites, especially after adding Freeman.

The Giants surprised by outpacing the free-spending Dodgers by one game last season, but that’s not going to happen again. Unless injuries absolutely decimate the pitching staff, as well as the high-priced lineup, there is very little to knock this Dodgers train off the track to a division title.

That being said, you cannot risk two-and-a-half times your potential return, locking up a ton of money for six months.

Odds to win National League

Odds: +210 (bet $100 to win $210)

The Dodgers have a slew of left-handed starting pitching, including Andrew Heaney and Tyler Anderson behind the big three of Walker Buehler, Julio Urias and Clayton Kershaw.

Dustin May and Danny Duffy are also rehabbing from injuries and will provide organizational depth, while veteran David Price is also likely to be stretched out at some point, if needed. Tony Gonsolin might be in the mix for a rotation spot, and if not, he’ll work in long relief.

L.A. has an embarrassment of riches for starting pitching, outstanding bullpen depth with Price, Kimbrel, Treinen, Brusdar Graterol and Daniel Hudson and a star-studded lineup.

There is just no reason to believe this team will not win the NL and get to the World Series, and do so in rather impressive fashion. As such, it’s a decent BET to win the NL PENNANT (+210).
