We are inside the final two months of the 2021 MLB regular season. Four of the six division leaders are fewer than five games up on the second-place team and the playoff races will really starting heating up. The Chicago White Sox hold a 10-game lead atop the American League Central and the Milwaukee Brewers are eight games up on the rest of the National League Central. The San Francisco Giants, Atlanta Braves, Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays all hold significantly smaller leaders in their respective divisions.
Despite the Giants’ lead in the NL West, the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers are still viewed as the 2021 World Series favorites. They’ve started the second half 16-11 and hold the NL’s top wild-card spot.
