2021 safety Corey Collier puts LSU in his top three schools

Collier ranked LSU among his top programs before he makes his decision next month.

The LSU Tigers are rolling on the recruiting trail right now.

Not only do the Tigers have the No. 5 class in 2021, per 247Sports, but they are also among the finalists for some of the top uncommitted players remaining in the upcoming cycle.

Over the last few days, LSU made the final list of five-star cornerbacks Jason Marshall and Ga’Quincy McKinstry.

On Monday, four-star safety Corey Collier released his final three schools and the defending national champions are on that list.

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Collier is the No. 84 player in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He plays his high school football at Miami Palmetto High in Miami, Fla., the same school as the aforementioned Marshall.

He is high on LSU and has a strong relationship with the coaching staff, as he told Billy Embody of 247Sports.

“Coach Raymond calls me every day. I talk to Coach Orgeron a lot,” Collier said. “They are losing a lot of people at my position so that kind of opened my eyes a little bit about that school.”

Collier is expected to announce his commitment on Aug. 10.
