The second round of the 2021 PGA Championship has concluded at Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Knoxville resident Peter Malnati shot a 72 in the second round. He missed the cut with a +6 score after two rounds of play.
Phil Mickelson and Louis Oosthuizen (-5) are co-leaders after the second round.
Malnati resides in Knoxville and played collegiately at Missouri from 2007-10.
He joined the PGA Tour in 2014 and has one career victory, winning the 2016 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Malnati has finished in the top-25 26 times, has seven top-10 finishes and has one second-place result. He has participated in 176 career PGA Tour events, while making the cut 85 times.
