Overview
Perhaps there is a bit of a Shippensburg flavor to Penn State’s offense in 2021. Not only has Penn State added former Shippensburg offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich to the coaching staff, but the Nittany Lions have added one of the top receivers from the Red Raiders to the program in wide receiver Winston Eubanks.
Eubanks didn’t get a chance to play football in 2020 as the PSAC and Shippensburg took the season off due to the COVID pandemic. So you better believe Eubanks is itching to get back on a playing field and make something happen.
Eubanks was a three-time All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team player while at Shippensburg. He wasted little time leaving an impact with the Red Raiders, earning Freshman of the Year in the PSAC’s Eastern Division in 2017 and being recognized as an All-Region Second Team player by Football Gazette in 2017. He was also named a team captain for 2019 and 2020 (although Shippensburg did not play in 2020).
At Penn State, Eubanks brings some potential to be a sleeper playmaker with possible pro potential.
Had a great interview with Winston Eubanks, WR, Shippensburg. Has the speed to take the top off of defenses. Good team leader and student of the game. Great character. Knows how to show some swag on the field, but is very humble off the field. He just needs his opportunity.

We’ll see just what kind of role Eubanks gets on Penn State’s roster, which is in need of someone to step up and make some plays in the passing game alongside Jahad Dotson. How long will Eubanks be flying under the radar?
