2021 NFL free agency: Corey Davis’ projected market value

Should the Titans bring Corey Davis back in 2021?

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis had his best year as a pro in 2020, and it came at the right time with the former No. 5 overall pick set to hit free agency in 2021 after the team declined his fifth-year option.

Davis, who was a key cog in the Titans’ elite offense this past season, totaled career-highs in receiving yards (984) touchdowns (five) and 100-yard games (five), and he tied his career-high mark in receptions with 65.

Hindsight is always 20/20 and while it’s easy to say the Titans made the wrong move in declining his fifth-year option after the season he had, it was the right move at the time after Davis failed to produce what you’d expect from such a high pick during his career.

As far as his market value goes, Spotrac estimates that Davis will receive a contract worth $39.4 million over four years, which works out to an annual average salary of $9.8 million.
