2021 NFL Draft: Trades leave Browns with several extra picks

The Browns will reap the rewards for trading Austin Corbett and others

It’s fitting that the Cleveland Browns are hosting the 2021 NFL Draft next April. The team already has several extra picks acquired in trades in advance of the hometown extravaganza.

The Browns will head to the podium 10 times, barring any future trades. They’ll be especially busy on Day 3, when the team holds three extra picks from various trades made in the past.

Cleveland holds its own picks in each of the first six rounds. The 7th-rounder was traded to Denver in exchange for FB Andy Janovich.

They picked up an extra third-rounder over the weekend in a trade with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints dealt the pick as part of the package to move up and select LB Zack Baun.

The other extra picks for the Browns came from prior trades. Cleveland holds picks from the following teams:

  • 4th round Eagles, for Genard Avery
  • 5th round Rams, for Austin Corbett
  • 7th round Bills, part of the Wyatt Teller trade
