2021 NFL draft to be held on-site with limited prospects, media and fans

The 2021 NFL draft will officially be held on-site in Cleveland, Ohio with limited prospects, media and fans in attendance.

The league announced some very promising news Monday morning. The 2021 NFL draft will officially take place in Cleveland, Ohio from April 29 to May 1. And unlike last year’s draft that was completely virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic, some prospects, media and fans will be welcomed back to participate in the activities.

In keeping with safety measures and COVID-19 protocols, the events will be spread out across town in sites including FirstEnergy Stadium, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Great Lakes Science Center.

Teams will be allowed to once again assemble together in a Draft Room of their choosing (at the club facility or elsewhere) and a select number of prospects will take the stage in person.

Not all of the virtual activities from last season will be abandoned, however, including the Draft-A-Thon platform, which will be utilized to bring awareness to issues impacting communities most affected by the pandemic.
