2021 NFL Draft prospect sleeper fits for the Browns

The Cleveland Browns will still be looking to fill holes in the early rounds of the 20201 NFL draft, but the front office has shown its number one goal in the later rounds is to find value and competitors. With this team being only a few pieces away, here are a few guys who could be intriguing pieces.

Arvin Fletcher, G, Southern Mississippi, 6-3, 310 pounds, Sr.

Fletcher has been starting at right tackle for the Golden Eagles, but the All-C-USA performer projects better to guard at the next level. Despite Southern Miss dealing with their fair share of opt-outs, Fletcher has been a rock and hasn’t missed a start since making his debut in 2017.

D.Q. Thomas, OLB, MTSU, 6-2, 217 pounds, Sr.

Another All-C-USA performer, Thomas has already had a productive season with 61 tackles and he is currently eight in school history in career tackles for loss with 31.5. His ability to disrupt behind the line of scrimmage makes him an impact play-maker for the Blue Raiders.

Kylen Granson, TE, SMU, 6-3, 235 pounds, Sr.

It is fairly unlikely that Cleveland drafts another tight end, but Granson could be an interesting fit. Granson has built off his impressive 2019 season wonderfully as he is the second-leading receiver for the Mustangs with 32 receptions for 509 yards and four touchdowns. He is on pace to break the school’s tight end season record for receiving yards, which he holds from last season at 721 yards.

Matt Bushman, TE, BYU, 6-5, 240 pounds, Sr.

This Cougar offense would have been insane with Bushman, but unfortunately he suffered a season-ending injury before the first game. Bushman has been electric since being named a Freshman All-American in 2017, but has flown under the radar since tearing his Achilles and he could be a real find late in the draft if he can come back healthy.

Quincy Roche, DE, Miami, 6-4, 235 pounds, Sr.

The graduate transfer from Temple just received his Senior Bowl invite earlier this week. He has been explosive for the Hurricanes with 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks so far this season and even though he isn’t a potential late-round gem, Roche will likely be available when Cleveland is on the clock.
