2021 Day 3 Mock Draft: Cowboys nab safety, nose tackle in final 6 picks

With the last four rounds of the draft on the horizon, Dallas looks to round out their defensive assault and considers offense in a mock.

The Dallas Cowboys went through the first two days of the draft with defense on their mind. As Saturday’s final four rounds approach, they still have six picks remaining and it should surprise no one that defense is still the top priority. Dallas is clearly focused on reshaping that side of the ball in Dan Quinn’s image. Friday’s selection of two boundary corners to compliment Trevon Diggs along with two defensive linemen on top of Thursday’s selection of LB Micah Parsons screams that Quinn is not interested in working with Mike Nolan’s leftovers longer than he has to.

On Day 3, the club will continue to remake the bottom of the roster in hopes they find diamonds in the rough. In our final mock draft of the offseason, the remaining holes are addressed but there’s still room to add a couple pieces to the offense as well. Here’s a look at the six-player haul in a mock simulator conducted via Pro Football Focus’ engine.
