Overview:
Recruited as a running back, Barrett switched to defensive back ahead of the 2018 season and saw some playing time at the position during the next two seasons. After opting out due to COVID-19 concerns for the 2020 season, he switched back to his original position to add depth to the running back room after the departures of DJ Williams and Mark Antony-Richards.
Barrett will be a backup option behind Tank Bigsby and Shaun Shivers heading into his senior season.
