Shamburger will play out his final season in 2020, after finding the right fit at the “STAR” nickelback position in 2019 under Jeremy Pruitt. Shamburger had the best season of his career, with 47 tackles, three sacks, one interception and 4.5 TFLs.
A former player of Pruitt’s former Hoover boss Rush Propst, Shamburger will be an important senior leader in Tennessee’s defensive secondary in 2020.
