The road to WrestleMania 36 is about to begin this weekend, as WWE stages one of its biggest events of the year. The 2020 Royal Rumble will take place on Sunday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston, and we should have an idea of the WrestleMania 36 main event card after the winners of the men’s and women’s Royal Rumbles are determined.
The 2020 Royal Rumble will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on WWE Network.
There are a total of six matches on the card, in addition to the two traditional Royal Rumble matches. Here are the singles matches scheduled for Sunday’s pay-per-view:
- Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan in a strap match for the Universal Championship
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship
- Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Andrade (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo for the United States championship
- Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin in a falls count anywhere match
- Shorty G vs. Sheamus
Men’s Royal Rumble entrants
The men’s Royal Rumble will include a total of 30 stars. As of Wednesday, only 22 participants have been officially announced. Brock Lesnar will be the No. 1 entrant. The winner will earn a title shot in a main event at WrestleMania 36.
