2020 NFL mock draft: Daniel Jeremiah has Colts taking QB Jordan Love

Colts get their QB in Daniel Jeremiah’s first mock.

Over the next few months, there will be hundreds or maybe even thousands of mock drafts that will involve the Indianapolis Colts and the No. 13 overall pick.

As the offseason continues to progress for 30 teams, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com wrote up his first mock draft ahead of the big event in April. Who does he have the Colts taking? Potentially their next quarterback in Jordan Love.

The Colts haven’t publicly committed to Jacoby Brissett as their starter in 2020, and Love is simply too intriguing to pass up. He might need to sit for a year, but the payoff could be huge.

Given their need for a quarterback, Love is going to be one of the names most spoken in regards to who the Colts might select with their first-round pick. Some believe Love could fall to the second round but with his upside, it’s unlikely to happen.

Jacoby Brisset is adored by the front office and coaching staff. He’s a great leader in the locker room, but he struggled with consistency and some pretty important aspects of playing quarterback during the 2019 season.

The Colts have several ways they can go about their draft. They could take Love or another quarterback they like. They could also take a dynamic wide receiver to bolster a depleted room. Or they could focus on adding to the three-technique with a selection like Javon Kinlaw.

With months to go, the Colts have a lot of decisions to make. Their most important one might come down to selecting Love in the first round of the draft.
