2020 NFL Draft: The 5 best offensive tackles the Jets should target

Jets Wire takes a look at five of the top tackles in the 2020 NFL draft that the Jets should target with the No. 11 overall pick.

Andrew Thomas, Georgia

Thomas is not a freak athlete and does not have mammoth size. However, he has an extremely refined skillset and the poise to become an elite NFL offensive lineman.

Thomas is equally adept in run and pass coverage — a rarity for an offensive tackle coming out of college. He is just as valuable off the field as he is on it, as his demeanor and approach to playing the position make him a leader in the locker room from day one.

If the Jets miss out on Wirfs, Wills and Becton, don’t look at Thomas as a consolation prize. He is nothing short of rock-solid and, when it’s all said and done, could wind up being the best and most consistent offensive lineman to come out of this year’s draft.
