The 2020 NFL Draft will take place next week April 23-25, although it’ll look a lot different than expected amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, the NFL Draft will be an entirely virtual format, where NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the picks from his own home.
ESPN and NFL Network will air a joint presentation across both networks throughout the three-day event. ABC will have its own prime-time broadcast for the first three rounds before simulcasting the ESPN/NFL Network telecast of rounds 4-7.
These will be accessible through cable or digital platforms, such as the ESPN and NFL apps and websites.
Here’s a rundown of the television schedule, including two prime-time affairs on Thursday and Friday evenings.
Thurs, April 23 (8-11:30 p.m. ET)
- Round 1 – ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio
Fri, April 24 (7-11:30 p.m. ET):
- Rounds 2 and 3 – ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio
Sat, April 25 (12-7 p.m. ET):
- Rounds 4–7 – ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes, ESPN Radio
The NFL Draft will also feature a “Draft-a-Thon,” which will serve to raise money for healthcare workers and first responders among six national nonprofits and coronavirus relief efforts.
The Bears currently have seven draft picks, including two second rounders. They also have one pick in the fifth round, as well as two picks in each of the sixth and seventh rounds.
