Blackmon is a high character prospect who recorded 29 pass defended and nine interceptions over the last two seasons. He has spent time at both cornerback and free safety with Utah.

Blackmon suffered a torn ACL in 2019 and is still recovering. He wasn’t able to participate in the NFL combine because of it.

Blackmon will be joining a safety room that includes Malik Hooker, Khari Willis and George Odum.

The Colts stayed put at No. 34 and took wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. Then, they actually traded up three spots to grab running back Jonathan Taylor—losing the No. 160 pick in the process.

Almost right on cue, the Colts traded back from the 75th pick with the Detroit Lions to No. 85 while adding a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick.

Unless the Colts trade up into the third round, they are not scheduled to make any more picks on Day 2.
