1. D’Andre Swift, Georgia 5-9, 215 (1)
Why He’s Here On The List: With all due respect to JK Dobbins and Jonathan Taylor, Swift is the star of star running back prospects in this year’s draft with just about everything you’d want in terms of NFL tools. He’s not Nick Chubb or Sony Michel, but he’s smooth as silk with the upside to be a dangerous receiver to go along with his duties as a franchise back.
What The NFL Types Want To See: Is it possible to show off any power? He might be a good starting NFL back who’ll produce in any system, but can he get the hard yard or two? He’s got the athleticism and look, but if he can run a decent 40, that will be more than good enough.
Bottom Line: It’ll be interesting to see and hear the thoughts on him leading up to the draft. The talent is undeniable and upside is there to be special with the upside to be another Dalvin Cook – and that might include the durability. He’s worth the risk.
