2020 NFL Combine: Defensive End, Edge Rusher Prospects, Invites, What To Watch For

Rankings and what to watch for out of all the defensive end, edge rusher prospects invited to the 2020 NFL Combine.

3. K’Lavon Chaisson, LSU 6-4, 250 (1)

Why He’s Here On The List: Part outside linebacker, part defensive end, all playmaker, he’s got the right blend of size, speed, and intangibles to be the leader of a defense and a Face of the Franchise type of guy that everyone is going to want. He led the national champion Tigers in sacks and tackles for loss, and he’ll be an instant starter for anyone who gets him in the early first round.

What The NFL Types Want To See: The medical evaluation might be the difference between being a top 15ish pick and dropping to the late first round and early second. He was fine after the knee injury that cost him all of 2018, but he’s been banged up throughout his career.

Bottom Line: He might not be the biggest thumper of a run stopper, but he’s an elite pass rushing prospect who can be moved around to get him into the backfield on a regular basis. As long as he’s healthy and his legs are okay, he’s going to be a must-have around the 15.
