Big 12 vs. Pac-12 for the championship.

Our NCAA Tournament simulation is nearing its conclusion and the title game will be between No. 7 Arizona and No. 1 Kansas. The Jayhawks were the favorite from the start but the Wildcats are one of the biggest surprises of the so far.

If the Wildcats were to win the whole thing and if they are to defeat Kansas for a title they will be the first seven seed to win it all since UConn did so in 2014.

This game does feature two brand name teams which is helpful for people tuning in and even with Arizona being a seven seed, but the big draw is top seeded Kansas who would be a huge favorite.

As a reminder, we are simulating these games over at What If Sports and are doing just like the NCAA Tournament, one loss and you’re out.

Final Score: No. 1 Kansas 95, No. 7 Arizona 86

It is the odds on favorite who won the national title as the Kansas Jayhawks topped Arizona by nine points. Udoka Azubuike was the player of the game by scoring 28 points on 13 of 17 shots. He also had 14 rebounds and was a force on defense with four steals and three blocks.

The Wildcats two-point lead at the half was short-lived and slowly allowed Kansas to come back and get the win. The 14-7 run by the Jayhawks to start the second half was what propelled Kansas to its first national title since 2008.
