Grotto Region – Second Round Results:

A tough round for the Cotton Bowl as a pair of those victories get eliminated in the Grotto in this round.  We also said goodbye to a pair of memorable wins over Michigan as the following move on to the Sweet 16:

1. ’89 Colorado in the Orange Bowl won fairly easily over the ninth-seed, Charlie Weis’s upset of Michigan in Week Two of 2005, 65-35%.

A five gets by a four as 2017 USC beats up on the 1992 team’s Cotton Bowl destruction of Texas A&M, 63-37%.  When choosing a rout of a team that finishes in the top ten the people like it coming mid-season over a rival instead of in a non-title deciding bowl game.

The thriller at Michigan State in 2002 upset the other Cotton Bowl win over Texas A&M, 1993’s finale as the 6-seed gets by the 3-seed by a 60-40 margin.

And finally, the second-seeded Snow Bowl of 1992 against Penn State beat up the rout of Michigan in 2014 easily, 68-32%.
