2020 Bermuda Championship odds, predictions and PGA Tour best bets

Analyzing the golf betting odds to win the 2020 Bermuda Championship, with PGA Tour betting odds, picks, predictions and best bets.

Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, hosts the second running of the Bermuda Championship this week. The tournament follows up Patrick Cantlay‘s victory at the Zozo Championship and comes just two weeks ahead of the 2020 Masters, so a relatively weak field made the trip for this event. Below, we look at the 2020 Bermuda Championship betting odds, and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions to win.

Inaugural champion Brendon Todd (+1400) returns to Bermuda this week with the second-best odds to win following a T-47 finish last week. He’s one of few in the field who played last week and will be playing the Masters. Last year’s tournament was an alternate-field event running the same week as the WGC-HSBC Champions. It has full status this week and the winner will be invited to the 2021 Masters in April.

Doc Redman (+2800)

Redman finished tied for 35th last year at minus-8. He comes into the second running of the event with two T-3 results in his last five tournaments – the Safeway Open and Wyndham Championship – against stronger fields.

He missed the cut at The Northern Trust and the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open within those last five events, as well, but he’s still 52nd in the Golfweek/Sagarin world rankings and as one of the top golfers in attendance. Redman’s an adequate value with Todd and tournament-favorite Will Zalatoris (+1100) carrying far lower odds.

New to golf betting? A $10 bet on Redman to win the 2020 Bermuda Championship would return a profit of $280.

2020 Bermuda Championship betting picks – Contender

Danny Willett (+5000)

Willett, the 2016 Masters champion, is one of the most recognizable names in the field this week and is tied for 18th by the outright betting odds. His lone top 10 through 17 international events in 2020 was a T-4 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July. He snapped a streak of five straight missed cuts last time out with a T-32 showing at the European Tour’s marquee BMW PGA Championship.

These top names are often risky in events such as this, but Willett needs to get his game right before heading back to Augusta National. The price is right with many of those ahead of him looking for their first PGA Tour win.

2020 Bermuda Championship betting picks – Long shot

Andrew Putnam (+20000)

Putnam withdrew from the US Open and missed the cut at the PGA Championship but made it to the weekend in three other events in that time. He tied for 10th at The American Express in mid-January for his top result of 2020; he had three top 10s and just four missed cuts in 25 events last year.

His lone career PGA Tour win came at the 2018 Barracuda Championship against similar competition as what’s in attendance this week. A win here could get him back on track after peaking at 43rd in the Official World Golf Ranking last year,
