2 LSU football players named AP Preseason All-Americans

Will Campbell and Harold Perkins Jr. should be poised for massive junior campaigns.

The Tigers lost some key production following the 2023 season, but they bring back at least a couple of players who are expected to be elite this fall.

Two LSU football players have been named to the preseason AP All-American team entering the 2024 season, left tackle [autotag]Will Campbell[/autotag] and linebacker [autotag]Harold Perkins Jr.[/autotag]

Both are juniors and were members of Brian Kelly’s transition class at LSU. Campbell is a two-year starter at left tackle and is viewed as a top 2025 draft prospect. Perkins could also find himself in that position as he begins what is expected to be a massive season after an impressive true freshman campaign was followed by a productive but slightly disappointing sophomore season.

Both members of the duo are commonly projected as first-round picks next spring, and they should anchor units on both sides of the ball that replace a lot of starters from a year ago.
