2 former Vikings crack NFL’s top 100 list

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook and linebacker Eric Kendricks crack the NFL’s top 100 players.

After Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith was ranked 97th on the NFL’s top 100 list, two of his former teammates made the list.

Free agent running back Dalvin Cook (91) and Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Eric Kendricks (93) both cracked the list in the first batch of 10 players.

Cook’s stats were solid as he rushed 264 times for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 39 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns. He had shoulder surgery this offseason, which triggered a $2 million guarantee in his contract. The Vikings released Cook on June 9th.

Kendricks was released before the start of free agency on March 6th. He showed serious decline in the open field, especially in coverage. The move saved the Vikings over $9 million in cap space.

There is a chance that Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen or Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson makes the list as former Vikings. The next set of rankings come out on Tuesday, July 25th at 12 pm eastern on NFL+.
