Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane is questionable for a Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills and running back Raheem Mostert has been ruled out, the team announced in its injury report Friday.

Achane suffered an ankle injury in the final minutes of the Dolphins’ Week 1 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While the team didn’t practice Monday and Tuesday, the estimation on the Dolphins’ injury reports was that he would’ve missed the sessions if they were held.
On Wednesday, he returned to the practice field for light work.
De’Von Achane practiced today in what appeared to be a lighter walkthrough session.

With Mostert out and Achane banged up, expect fourth-round rookie Jaylen Wright to make his NFL debut Thursday after missing Week 1 as a healthy scratch.
Along with Mostert, rookie wide receiver Malik Washington was ruled out with the same quad injury that sidelined him in Week 1. The team elevated Robbie Chosen from the practice squad and may be inclined to do so again for Thursday.
The significant injury on the Bills’ side is the loss of slot cornerback Taron Johnson, a leader in the Buffalo secondary who was second on the team behind only Jordan Poyer in defensive snaps last season.
