2 divisional games set for next week as Texans, Titans move on

The Texans knocked off the Bills in overtime and the Titans beat the defending champion Patriots in the first round of the playoffs.

The first two playoff games of the year were good ones that went down to the wire. As a result, two of next week’s playoff games in the divisional round are set.

In the opening game, the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills went to overtime. Buffalo took a 13-0 halftime lead and a 16-0 second-half lead and the Texans came back. Thanks to an amazing play by quarterback Deshaun Watson to get away from two defenders in overtime to complete a pass down the field.

That set up a game-winning field goal to give the Texans a 22-19 win.

In the later game, the Tennessee Titans held the New England Patriots scoreless in the second half and got 182 rushing yards from Derrick Henry. Tom Brady threw a pick six in the final seconds of the game and the Titans knocked off the defending champs 20-13, despite only getting 72 passing yards from Ryan Tannehill.

So two of the games for next week are set.

The Titans will take on the No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens Saturday night on the road at 8:15 p.m. Eastern.

The Texans move on to play the Kansas City Chiefs on the road on Sunday in the early slot at 3:05 pm. Eastern.
