Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is built in the offensive and defensive trenches, as first-year O-line coach Adam Cushing has been a consistent bright spot since taking over, immediately turning around the Aggies’ 2024 offensive line this season.
Cushing’s’ impact on the 2025 recruiting trail has led to several O-line commitments, including 4-stars Marcus Garcia and Connor Carty, who have continued to improve during their 2024 senior seasons.
This week, both Garcia and Carty have steadily risen in Rivals’ updated 2025 recruiting rankings, as the underrated prospects are now among the best underclassmen in the country. Carty, who was not ranked within the top 250 players, is now the 211th-ranked prospect and the 11th-ranked offensive guard.
Garcia, who possesses the size, strength, and athleticism to start at right tackle within the first two years, is now the 101st-ranked prospect in the class and the 13th-ranked tackle prospect.
For some added context, 2025 4-star OT Lamont Rogers, who is currently committed to Missouri, is a favorite to flip to Texas A&M either before or on National Signing Day and also moved up one spot as the 76th-ranked overall prospect.
