8. Week 1 2019: Dethroning the offseason Super Bowl champions
All the talk and hype going into the first game of Titans’ 2019 season against the Cleveland Browns was how the new-look Browns were going to start their special season off on the right foot with a win.
Well, the Titans had other plans and ended up smoking the Browns, 43-13.
After the game remained close for much of the first three quarters, the Titans started pouring it on from late in the third quarter on, starting with a 75-yard touchdown reception on a screen pass to Henry.
To make the game even better, Delanie Walker, who was making his return after missing all but one game in 2019, added a pair of scores in the fourth quarter. Malcolm Butler capped off the win with a pick-six, and that was just one of three interceptions on the afternoon for Baker Mayfield.
A star was also born in this game, as A.J. Brown’s debut in the NFL saw him catch two large gains and finish with 100 yards receiving.
