11. Wild Card 2017: The self pass and the epic comeback
With the Titans trailing 21-3 going into the second half of the 2017 Wild Card Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, things were looking bleak to say the least.
But led by Derrick Henry’s monstrous game (191 total yards and one touchdown), a strong defensive performance in the final two quarters and Mariota coming up big, Tennessee was able to pull off a comeback for the ages.
This game is perhaps most famously remembered for Mariota throwing a touchdown pass to himself in the third quarter that started the comeback. Tennessee would go on to win, 22-21, which was the franchise’s first playoff win since 2003.
