6. Week 10 2019: Joshua Kalu!
A bad start to the season overall and a costly loss to the Carolina Panthers the week before meant the Titans needed to win every game possible from here on out.
The only problem was that they were facing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Week 10. Yes, Mahomes was coming back from an injury, but that didn’t stop him from throwing for 446 yards and three scores.
There are plenty of memorable moments from this game, whether you want to talk about Henry’s long touchdown run en route to 188 yards and two scores, or Tannehill’s eventual game-winning touchdown pass to Adam Humphries.
However, no play was bigger than the blocked field goal by defensive back Joshua Kalu at the end of regulation.
Without it, Harrison Butker could have very well made his 52-yard attempt to force overtime, which could have led to disastrous results against a Chiefs team that would have had all the momentum.
CBS announcer Tony Romo yelling “unbelievable!” and the roar of the Nissan Stadium crowd still gives me chills.
