12-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul speaks with Alabama football

Future NBA Hall of Famer stops to visit with Alabama football ahead of 2024 campaign.

When people think of the Alabama Crimson Tide football program, state-of-the-art facilities and national championships come to mind. The program has almost a mystique about it due to its unprecedented success under the legendary Nick Saban. Saban is known as one of the greatest coaches in American sports history and is widely respected by his peers.

One of the coolest things Saban started doing while he was the head coach of the Crimson Tide was bringing in guest speakers. Alabama has hosted a variety of notable people over the years ranging from Michael Phelps to Kobe Bryant. The connections you can make at Alabama are really unlike any other school in the country.

Saban may no longer be in Tuscaloosa, but new head coach Kalen DeBoer has made sure to continue the tradition.

This week, the Crimson Tide received a visit from 12-time NBA All-Star and San Antonio Spurs PG Chris Paul. Paul is one of the best point guards of our generation known for his IQ play as he led the league in assists five times during his career. As remarkable as Paul’s career has been on the court, what may be more impressive is that he was selected as the President of the National Basketball Players Association in 2013 where he served until 2021.
