NFL training camps are off and running and I’m guessing a bunch of you have noticed a lot of players wearing some pads on their helmets and I’m also guessing a lot of you are wondering what the heck they are.
Well, I’m here to help. Actually, my friend Charles Curtis already provided the help last week when he explained why so many players are wearing the new “Guardian Caps” on their helmets. Basically different positional groups will be wearing them throughout camps and they are meant to reduce the amount of impact from contact involving the head.
They are mandatory so you’ll be seeing a lot more of them leading up to the season.
Let’s take a look what they look like while in action.
