It’s down to just 12 days until the UCLA Bruins kick off the 2024 season. Of course, the countdown to Hawaii is nearing the single digits. Head coach DeShaun Foster, quarterback Ethan Garbers, and the crew seem ready to go.
Today, since we are down to 12, we have two to showcase. Both come into the season wearing 12 on their Bruins jersey. Let’s take a look at them:
First up is Jamir Benjamin. The 5’10, 170lbs freshman comes to UCLA from West Bloomfield Michigan. In High School, Benjamin was a four-star recruit. He was the 7th best recruiting prospect out of the state of Michigan. He helped his team win a regional championship in 2023. It will be interesting to see if the freshman can earn time on the field for the Bruins.

The other is Luke Duncan. Duncan is a backup quarterback for the Bruins. He is a redshirt freshman out of Orinda California. He attended Miramonte High School. Duncan stands 6’6. He graduated early and attended spring camp in 2023. He did not play in any game action a season ago. Duncan appears to be fourth on the depth chart.

Remember, after the trip to Hawaii, UCLA has the week off. The Bruins then come home on September 14th to take on the Indiana Hoosiers.
