The Wii U eshop is closing down in March 2023. That means you’ve got just over a year to prepare – that’s a decent amount of time, but it will come around much faster than you might expect. The Wii U might not have sold well, but it was still home to dozens of excellent games. Many of those have since been ported to other systems, but the Wii U still has a few exclusive games and unique multiplatform ports that you just can’t play anywhere else.
In this list we’re breaking down the Wii U games you have to play, and while you can play some of these on other systems, there’s no experience like playing them with the Wii U gamepad.
