The Atlanta Falcons secondary had a rough year in 2022, allowing 231.9 net passing yards per game, but these struggles came as a bit of a surprise since the team used most of its cap space to sign free agent Casey Hayward.

The veteran cornerback was expected to provide the Falcons with a quality No. 2 option alongside A.J. Terrell, but Hayward suffered a season-ending injury in Week 6 and the team was left shorthanded.
