Wake Forest struggled against Clemson. There’s no shame there, but it lost the season-opener 37-13.
And then things got a lot easier.
It might have lost to NC State, but it put up 42 points in the fun firefight with the two teams combined to 87 points combined. The week after, it rolled against Campbell 66-14.
But the Virginia Cavaliers aren’t the Camels of Campbell – but they’re struggling on defense, too.
All three UVA games got to 58 points or more, with the defense allowing 41 to Clemson and 38 to NC State.
The Cavalier offense hasn’t been anything special over the last two games, but the Wake Forest defense will take care of that. Both teams should score 30+.
