There are so many different ways you can frame how terrible the NFC East is this season.
The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, leaving the door wide open for the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the hapless Miami Dolphins on Sunday and take control in the division.
Well, you know what happened. And now the Cowboys are up by a game at — ugh — 6-6.
But that’s not the best way to sum up the absolute stinker that is the NFC East, which also has the 2-10 Giants, the second-worst team in football after Week 13.
This is: the 3-9 Washington Redskins technically still have a chance at winning the division.
SERIOUSLY!
The @Redskins could still theoretically win the NFC East. pic.twitter.com/BjD2pSOAEA

Redskins, at 3-9, cannot be a Wild Card. But, amazingly, they remain alive for the NFC East title.
Strange, but true.— Andrew Siciliano (@AndrewSiciliano) December 2, 2019
NFC East!
If the season ended today, the Redskins would have a top-5 pick in the 2020 @NFL Draft.
YET…
The Redskins are still alive for the NFC East title.

How bad has the NFC East been this season?
The 3-9 Redskins could still take the division if they win out and finish at 7-9.

And now, some tweets on the division:
What's the worst cumulative record for a division in NFL history? This year's NFC East must be close.
Dallas 6-6
Philly 5-7
Washington 3-9
Giants 2-10
That's a total of 16-32, a .333 winning percentage. I don't know for sure but that may be the worst division ever.— Michael David Smith (@MichaelDavSmith) December 1, 2019
