Young Cam Thomas has big day as Nets knock off Sixers in summer league

Cam Thomas has a big day as the Brooklyn Nets knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers in summer league.

The Brooklyn Nets continued their summer league season on Sunday afternoon when they took on the Philadelphia 76ers in Las Vegas looking to bounce back from a tough loss to open the summer circuit. In a back-and-forth affair, the Nets were able to come away with a 91-84 victory.

Cam Thomas did not have a very efficient day as he shot just 5-for-17, but he got to the free-throw line often and he took advantage. He knocked down all 15 of his free throw and finished with 26 points and seven assists and he also knocked down a tough shot late to close the Sixers out.

The concentration needed by Thomas in order to knock down this bucket was impressive. Philadelphia was in the middle of a run before Thomas closed them out.

Aside from Thomas, the Nets also received 21 points and five rebounds out of David Duke Jr. and Dayron Sharpe added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sharpe also delivered an absolute poster dunk to help Brooklyn get the job done.

The Nets will get back at it on Tuesday in Vegas when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies.
