The Miami Dolphins have had a busy week despite not much actually happening.
Wednesday, rumors began swirling that the Dolphins were involved in serious negotiations on a trade that would send Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson to Miami.
That’s what happens when a team is deep in a losing streak. There will be a number of questions that come out about the jobs of those responsible for the lack of success, as well as discussions regarding how to repair the situation.
It would make sense that some of these distractions enter the mind of the players on the team. However, according to rookie wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, that isn’t the case.
“Everyone is just focused on playing the game and winning, not the rumors,” Waddle said during his Thursday media availability.
The Dolphins don’t have the time to deal with rumors right now. For a team that’s 1-5, they need to come together and focus on the games they have in front of them. If they don’t, the slide will continue.
