ESPN has released its annual preseason FPI rankings, and the Badgers are firmly in the mix.
Overall, Wisconsin is at No. 20 in the rankings but a fellow Big Ten school leads the way.
Rutgers and Indiana were the two lowest-ranked ESPN FPI squads while Ohio State unsurprisingly took the top spot.
ESPN’s FPI rankings are meant to rely on “past performance on offense and defense, returning and transfer production and past recruiting data for players on the roster to form a rating.” The Badgers were given solid metrics given how poorly they finished out last season.
