Whether you want to call it the transfer portal or free agency lite, it is now off and running in the world of college football once again.
Starting at midnight on Monday, the transfer portal once again opened, allowing players across the nation the ability to leave their current schools if they are so inclined and look for new opportunities, be it in hopes of more playing time, a better NIL deal, or some fresh scenery.
The Oregon Ducks are undoubtedly going to try and utilize the portal in order to bolster their roster once again this season. In years past, they’ve landed players like Bo Nix, Bucky Irving, Jordan Burch, Christian Gonzalez, and Tez Johnson, among many others, to improve their outlook going forward. That will be no different this year either.
So what positions does Dan Lanning need to focus on when trying to improve his roster via the portal this year? Here’s a look at a few, ranked from first to last according to importance, in my mind.
