WATCH: Why didn’t Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum make All-NBA?

Who is to blame for the Duke product’s snub?

Because of a bureaucratic quirk in how votes from the media are tabulated by the league for its All-NBA teams, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum lost millions of dollars of potential contract earnings.

Beyond that, there are even further ethical implications of sports media having the ability to financially impact the future of the players they cover on a day-to-day basis, and while the travails of millionaire athletes may not touch a chord with all, these are not minor issues for the NBA nor Jayson Tatum.
