Watch: Vikings QB Nick Mullens throws the worst interception you’ll see

The NFL gives us no shortages for hilarious highlights. Or perhaps I should say lowlights, as is the case for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens.

The Vikings have been going through a quarterback rollercoaster ever since Kirk Cousins was lost for the year with an Achilles injury. They traded for Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs, but quickly demoted him after a sharp decline in play. Next up: journeyman backup Nick Mullens.

Mullens got the start on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he gave us quite the blooper reel interception:

Despite the awful interception, the Vikings did manage to take a commanding 17-3 lead in the third quarter. After they squandered it to be tied 17-17, they took a 24-17 lead.

Unfortunately for Minnesota, they fell in overtime 27-24, and fall to 7-7 on the year. At 7-7, the Vikings are still ahead of the 6-7 Packers at the No. 6 seed. But with them losing, it does keep the Seattle Seahawks on life support for the playoffs, as the Vikings did not pull ahead further.

A win for Seattle on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles becomes even more crucial to take advantage of Minnesota’s missteps.
